Senior Product Designer — 04.2023 – 07.2024

  • As the sole owner of connected devices I developed and established best practices for 5 platforms as well as helped train the UX organization.

  • Lead the Smart TV brand redesign from Polaris to Atlas across all feature sets including Search, For You, Browse, Library, Settings, etc. simultaneously while collaborating with a 3rd Party Vendor for Player.

  • Owned and established the current Design System including 250+ components across TVOS, AndroidTV, Roku, FireTV, and WebOS while helping the D.S. Team define overall direction for all other platforms.

  • Mentored the summer intern and delivered a full product redesign of our current Apple Watch offering.

Capsule Pharmacy

Senior Product Designer — 09.2020 – 08.2022

  • Lead on acquisition, lead on retention, and design support for Partnerships.

  • Helped increase overall retention on our weakest channel from 50% to 80% — measured by orders placed.

  • Helped establish the Consumer Team’s first Design Component Library, Design System, and Icon System.

  • Partnered with recruiting to hire and grow the organization from just myself to a team of 12 designers.

  • Established the company’s first QA procedure to ensure the quality of releases and reduce rollbacks.

  • Some of the projects I was able to work on include: a website re-design, onboarding, order tracking, Rx List, a Provider Chat product, medication management, medication and doctor search, delivery checker, reputation management, email design, business collateral, product illustration, landing pages, and product integrations with 3rd-Party Partners.

Product Designer — 06.2019 – 09.2020

  • Originally hired to support user acquisition but since I was the only designer I supported everything from Business collateral, to Marketing initiatives like Taxi Tops, and digital product experience.

  • Helped increase top-of-funnel web conversion by 280% and purchase conversion by 240%.

  • Led Figma training for the engineering team.

Amazon

Visual & UX Design Lead — 01.2016 – 04.2019

  • Develop and direct national campaigns for the world's leading advertisers driven by consumer insight data as part of the Amazon Advertising division. As project lead, I formulate the brand's message and positioning through conceptual ideation and creative strategy, provide Amazon-specific creative consultation, sell strategic thinking to executive-level internal and external stakeholders, steer end-to-end product innovation, and deliver customer-centric visual experience execution.

  • Established and trained satellite locales in Toronto and Costa Rica. SME of 9+ areas including Amazon’s digital media and trafficking tool Rodeo, Amazon’s advertising product line, the launch of Amazon Video Ads, the FSA program, and Rodeo/Salesforce reprocessing. 

Visual Designer 2 — 09.2015 – 01.2016

  • Designing cohesive cross-platform advertisements including desktop, mobile, Kindle and FireTV with strict attention to typography, color, layout, and usability. Working in collaboration with Account Managers, fellow designers, and Art Directors to develop a shared vision and execute creative on time with specific focus on attaining advertiser’s campaign goals.

Indigo Slate

Visual Designer — 04.2015 – 07.2015

  • Presented ideas in the form of wireframes, prototypes, sketches, rough mockups, or comps to clearly communicate interactive concepts. Evaluated competitive products and designed approaches to identify best practices and encourage innovation. Provided rapid iterations of creative solutions to achieve higher quality deliverables.

  • Designed all the collateral for Microsoft Axure's Ignite convention booth

  • Designed a sales dashboard that dynamically created personalized microsites for Axure's sales team and tracked leads generated.

  • Received for user interface design on the Oregon Zoo’s Park Experience application. The app allows visitors to navigate through exhibitions while providing contextual information. User experience was crucial and guided the simplistic interface design.
